Chen Junze and 14 other students went to Korea for the 2019 (the Second) Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition

From July 8 to 13, 2019, the team of Chen Junze and 14 other students led by Ms. Wang Hao visited Hanyang University, ROK for the semifinal of the 2019 (the second) Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition for Chinese and Korean College Students.

The 2019 (the second) Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition for Chinese and Korean College Students is a competition of entrepreneurship, held by the entrepreneurship support team of Hanyang University, Confucius Institute of Hanyang University and Jilin University. This year, the competition is held in Hanyang University (the semifinal) and Jilin University (the final). To promote international exchange, each team is composed of Korea students of Hanyang University, foreign students of Hanyang University and Chinese students of Jilin University.

The semi-final starts from team-forming and ends with business plans. The teams choose from three fields to start up business—beauty industry, cultural exchange between Chinese and ROK college students and community service—to propose business plans for the Chinese market. After fierce competition, Huang Shan and 6 other students from the school of management of Jilin University got to the final.

After the competition, Hanyang University organized academic forums and site visits for students to deepen their understanding on entrepreneurship and innovation and learn about the history and culture of Korea. Led by teachers of Hanyang University, students visited the National Museum of Korea, the 38th parallel, Imjingak, and Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House).These visits have led students to better understand traditional culture of ROK and hope for the peace in the Korean Peninsula. They saw the national treasures of Korea and experienced the social system of modern Korea.

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition for Chinese and Korean College Students provides a platform for students who want to start up their own business to show their competence and exchange ideas. This competition has deepened their understanding on business opportunities and the start-up process and improved their innovative ability, leadership skills and inter-cultural communication ability.
