The Research Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Jilin University was inaugurated upon decision by the 3rd President Office Meeting of Jilin University in May 2015. It is a research-oriented entity at the university level, jointly built by the School of Management and School of Economics. The Research Center assembles research resources of the JLU Research Center for Innovation Management (founded in 2002), the JLU Research Center for Entrepreneurship (founded in 2003), and the JLU China-Israel Joint Research Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (founded in 2015), and gives full play to their respective advantages in human resources, disciplines and technology, for the purpose of serving education and research of JLU on innovation and entrepreneurship in response to JLU’s endeavor to fulfill its “Double First-Class University Plan”, pushing forward innovation and entrepreneurship of higher educational institutions to meet the demands of local and socioeconomic development, providing intellectual support and know-how for JLU graduates at home and abroad to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship, and creating a national top-class platform and think-tank for academic research on innovation and entrepreneurship with global influences.
